It is our pleasure to present you the last major Star Class event before the 2008 Olympics

in Beijing. From June 11th 2008 Spartacus Yacht Club will host the OVB Star European

Championship in Balatonföldvár.

The venue and the Yacht Club can sound familiar for international sailors as numerous world class sailing events were held here in previous years, such as the 2007 Finn European Championsip,

the Flying Dutchman Worlds in 2006, the Star Spring Europeans in 2003 and many other high

standard international sailing regattas.
Due to the fact that wind conditions in Lake Balaton are said to be rather similar to the venue of the Olympic games, Quingdao, the organizers are expecting a record number of entries from more than

30 countries. So get prepared to a fantastic sailing event, where pro organization and high level of excitement is guaranteed. See you in June.
